All Mountain Professional Instructors

This team of Pros is one of the strongest group of skiers found anywhere in the world. The beauty for you is that all these guys and girls have a second talent! They can teach. They coach skiing very well. These are people who have made skiing their life. Not that this automatically makes a great instructor. Not all great skiers make great coaches. Not everyone has the ability or desire to share with others the knowledge and experience they've accumulated over years of skiing in mountains all over the world. But these guys and girls below, have done it all, continue to do it and ARE willing and able to work with you to ski better so you can grow and live that much larger yourself.

These are professional skiers who have learned to ski by logging vertical feet and not by wrote memorization or by studying teaching manuals. We all train together, of course, but the lessons and techniques have been learned over entire lives of skiing, through each Pro's own skiing and coaching style. It is much easier to explain a point that is a part of one's self then to explain in terms something learned academically. Be a part of something special this winter, join an AMSP course/trip or set up a private coach with one of our AMSP team.

Eric DesLauriers
Eric DesLauriers is one of the most celebrated free-skiers skiers in the world. He is the co-author (with brother Rob) of the all-mountain skiing book, Ski the Whole Mountain. This teaching style is the pillar for the Professionals of All Mountain Ski Pros. He is a pro writer for SKI and SKIING Magazines, since 1993, and is recognized as one of the top 100 instructors in North America. He has starred in an enormous 22 ski movies, is the co-founder of The X-Team clinic program, the list goes on. His skiing is inspirational, with cat like precision. Ripping. SKIING Magazine refers to him as one of the most fluid and graceful skiers on any mountain. He is a pleasure to watch, to ski with and to learn from.

Rob DesLauriers
Over the last decade, the DesLauriers name has become synonymous with extreme free skiing and adventure. Eric's brother Rob is indeed a major part of this identity. His ability and career have enabled him to ski 55 degree slopes, jump 90 foot cliffs, and turn at nearly 20,000 feet. Rob is co-author of Ski the Whole Mountain and one of the innovators of our teaching program, and is a contributing editor for SKIING Magazine. Additionally Rob was ranked by Powder Magazine as one of the top fifty skiers in the world. His turns are electric. Just another 40,000 feet of vertical and a day at the office. Speaking of offices, in 2003 Rob opened up the Teton Mountain in the village at Jackson Hole. So, next time you're there, stop and say "hi". Have a drink and buy a condo. Get Rob to make a couple runs with you.

Kit DesLauriers
Kit has wasted no time establishing herself as the Number One ranked female skier on the International Free Skier's Association world rankings. For the past two-seasons, she has won the Women's overall title on the World Free-Skiing Tour. In the ski-mountaineering realm, Kit has been on fire. She has first women's summit descents from Mounts Aspiring in New Zealand, Mount Belukha in Russia and she was the second woman ever to ski Mount Denali, AK and the Grand Teton of Wyoming. All this is three years! Oh yeah, she is also Rob's wife. AND she is coaching with All Mountain Ski Pros. Kit and Rob live in Jackson Hole, WY. She will be coaching a Women's Clinic in Grand Targhee and traveling to Sugar Bowl as well!

Lynn Kennen
Lynn, another New England native, started skiing when she was 5 at a small hill in Massachusetts. After a move to Lake Tahoe as a recent graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Lynn was, at age 21, among the youngest ski instructors to complete her PSIA Level III certification, the highest American cert. In 2001, Lynn went on to Big Mountain Freeskiing. She took 2nd place in the World Freeskiing Championships in Valdez, AK in her first year. Since then, she has had many pro podium appearances. Lynn has also developed her mountain skills for backcountry skiing and guiding and has become certified in avalanche safety and as an EMT. Lynn continues to work with professional photographers as well. Her likeness has graced the cover of Couloir Magazine, and the pages of Ski, Fluid, Skiing, Freeskiier, National Geographic Adventure, and Sky West just to name a few. She continues to teach, guide and compete and travels the planet sharing her love for the sport. You can check out her video on you-tube. Her sponsors include Head/Tyrolia, Patagonia, POC, Leki, Clif Bar, Grandoe, Shred Alert and Alpine Meadows. All Mountain Ski Pros is proud to have Lynn as one of our premier alpine ski pros. Ski with Lynn Kennen this winter in one of our camps or sign up for private instruction. Lynn will also be hosting a Women’s Ski the Whole Mountain Camp this January at Sugar Bowl.

Adam Deslauriers
Younger Brother Adam is next in line as an accomplished skier and coach. He got out of college and moved west. He cut right in to the well oiled grooves of Eric and Rob. He's skied in eight movies, shot nine, edited four and still had time to rip it up and coach X-Team Clinics since 1997. Adam now is a family man and lives back in Bolton Valley, VT. He teaches at Bolton and at Sugar Bush, VT. He will be coaching camps in Grand Targhee, WY and Lake Tahoe, CA this winter, too.

Wendy Fisher
If you do not know who Wendy is, open any ski magazine or put in a Match Stick or Warren Miller film made in the last five years or go to Olympics.com and punch in US Skiers. Wendy is US Olympic Skier and one of the very few, premier free-skiers on the planet. A few highlights: voted Best Female Skier by Powder Magazine Peoples Choice Award, voted Best Female Film Segment in 2000-01 and 2001-02 by Powder Magazine, voted one of the top 25 skiers in North America by Skiing Magazine, Gold Medalist in the World Cup of Extreme Free Skiing in 1998, First Place in the World Extreme Skiing Championships in 1996, 97, and member of the US Olympic Team (92) and member of the US Alpine Race Team (87-94). Ahem. And you know what the best part of all this is for you and All Mountain Ski Pros? She is an absolutely great person and Ski Pro and is psyched to help skiers like you become closer to skiers like her. Wendy is open for Private Coaching (email or call our office) and she is hosting a very cool series of ski camps in Colorado (see our Global Adventures page).

Allen Riley
"Dr. Smooth" is this fine young man's appropriate title. Ripping the toughest of lines, "Alzie" flows down the mountain like water on glass. Day in and day out, his razor like precision is in his blood. His talent is undeniable. At the age of twenty-one, Allen became one of the youngest PSIA level three certified instructors in the country. His prized talents have been featured in over twelve ski films in the last eight years. He has competed in The World Extremes and in the 1999 Skier Cross World Championships. His enthusiasm is infectious, and his love for skiing and teaching glows.

Dean Decas

Since 1989, Dean has been a coach for the infamous X-Team Ski Clinics. He has starred in numerous films for many years and is one of the best off piste ski pros in the business. Dean has impressive backcountry skills, and a solid coaching background. His passion for skiing has resulted in tremendous descents all over the world. Dean has spent time in the Andies, the Alps, as well as at home in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Jason Mack
Jason Mack may indeed be the most consistent skier out there. Riding deep powder, crud, or glare ice, the man's turns radiate with beauty and precision. His skiing is nothing short of gorgeous. Jason comes from years spent racing and mogul skiing. He has competed in extreme competitions all over the country. He currently resides in Squaw Valley and is a helicopter ski guide in Alaska in the spring. "J-Mack" as he is known to his friends has a personality to match his skiing. His positive and upbeat attitude will put a smile on your face. We like the boy; you will too.

Ross Scott
Ross is efficiency in motion. He skis all terrain and snow conditions with the ease that comes with 35 years of skiing experience. Ross has 20 seasons as a professional ski instructor. Most of that time has been spent at the Squaw Valley ski school, with stints in Vail/Beaver Creek, and Val d' Isere France as well as four summers teaching and race coaching down under in Australia. Ross became an instructor trainer in 1991 with the completion of the PSIA Divisional Clinic Leader exam. From 1995 to 98 he was chief instructor trainer for the Squaw Valley ski school where he developed instructor training programs for more than one hundred and sixty five instructors a year. He has spent a lifetime studying ski technique and as an All Mountain Ski Pros coach, he provides valuable insight and knowledge to anyone

Mike Costello
You will see Mike Costello getting on the last chair lift of the day with his All Mountain Ski Pro jacket on. You will also see Mike getting on the last chair with his personal ski jacket on. This is because he can never get enough skiing in. Mike loves skiing. You can see it in his style: strong, smooth, versatile and consistent. Luckily for us, he also loves to teach skiing. Effective, personal and friendly describe his teaching style. Mike has been teaching skiing full time since 1987 and, now, almost all the teaching Mike does is by reservation only because he's that good at his job. Mike was chosen as one of the top 100 children's ski instructors in America by Skiing Magazine. He's also great with adults, too but don't expect to get him just by walking up to the window either. Last year at Sugar Bowl, he spent all his time with one family and they want him back. But this year, we were able to get him away for more time with other folks. We at All Mountain Ski Pros are fortunate to have him on our Team and we want to let you know you should hire him. He's that good.

Wade Holiday
After traveling the world teaching tennis and skiing, Wade Holiday has settled down in Lake Tahoe and brings his easy manner and effective teaching style to All Mountain Ski Pros. Wade has completed his training with All Mountain Ski Pros and has an extensive background in ski instruction. He is a PSIA level 3 ski instructor of 13 years, with experience teaching in both Austria and Switzerland. Wade's magic is taking the simple movements of great skiing and communicating them in a way that is both easy to understand and fun. With skiing that is velvety smooth, Wade's goal of skiing in concert with the mountain is parallel to his philosophy of life: simplify and enjoy.

Woody Lindenmeyr
In addition to being Wendy's husband, Woody is an incredible skier and coach in his own right. He has competed in numerous, professional free-skiing events and filmed around the globe. Woody's strong skiing style, bred in the Green Mountains of Vermont, has translated seamlessly to the challenges of the biggest mountains. Woody has 19 years of big mountain and backcountry and experience and descents from 15,000 feet. In our 3-day AMSP training last December, Woody also proved to have an innate talent and a keen eye to spot problems in people's skiing and to offer quick, poignant advice for solving it. Having this dynamic duo available for All Mountain Ski Pros coaching is a great thing for all of us.

Glen Poulsen
Glen Poulsen has just come back from where you would like to go. A member of Squaw Valley's founding family, Glen knows the Sierra Nevada like you know the back of your hand. He's out there virtually every day, often nine months a year in a good season, making him one of the most prolific, experienced and knowledgeable skiers in the range. His backcountry and competitive ski forays have taken him around the globe to locations as diverse as Greenland and East Africa with a heavy concentration in the Alps. His training includes American Mountain Guides Association, Emergency Medical, Avalanche Level III, and Wilderness First Aid. He is also an active Search and Rescue volunteer. A backcountry adventure with Glen will be a unique and significant step in the evolution of your backcountry skills and enjoyment.

Dan Egan
Dan Egan, founder of Egan Entertainment Network, Inc. and one of the pioneers of the term "X-Treme Skiing", markets and promotes skiing around the world.
