Who we are
Eric Deslauriers and his staff are special people, gifted at both skiing and teaching. Eric alone has been featured in 23 ski movies filmed all over the world. He has also been a professional coach to skiers of wide ranging abilities since 1989. During that time Eric and his brother Rob have developed their own methods that take advantage of advances in ski equipment to allow skiers to make progress faster than ever before. Eric has handpicked the coaching staff at Sugar Bowl to ensure that every one of them skis and teaches according to his standards.
The coaches and guides at AMP go far beyond just skiing well. They are able to connect to your personal challenges at any moment. Their satisfaction comes from your progress and enjoyment.
Where we are
AMP is based out of Sugar Bowl at Lake Tahoe. From Reno take Highway 80 to Donner Pass Road at the Gateway Shopping Center in Truckee. Turn south on Donner Pass Road and follow it past Donner Lake, three miles up and over the summit. From San Francisco take Highway 80 to the Norden exit. Go East to the entrance to Sugar Bowl Resort.
Eric DesLauriers' All Mountain Professionals provide backcountry guiding services as a shareholder/guide with Sierra Mountain Guides Incorporated operating under special use permit from the USDA Forest Service on a non-discriminating basis in Inyo, El Dorado and Tahoe National Forests.
What we offer
The Weekender Series:
The new Weekender Series is perfect for the working stiff. On Saturday, get in-bounds coaching while learning the secrets of Sugar Bowl. On Sunday, move into the backcountry and focus on one of the four fundamentals of safe backcountry skiing. On Monday, go back to work with a goggle tan and a big smile. The backcountry fundamentals rotate from one week to the next, so if you miss one in the sequence you can catch it next month.
Advanced Ski Clinics:
Pick a theme, like steeps, powder, carving, or crud. Have a great ski with other skiers at your level, while getting the best coaching there is on the topic at hand. Always a blast.
Private coaching, by appointment:
One on one, or bring a buddy. No distractions, just you and the coach. The greatest way to make progress in a hurry.
Backcountry Courses:
You've read about backcountry skiing. This is your chance to learn what it's all about-equipment, techniques, and safety-while actually doing it. The groups are small, the mountains are big, and the sunrise is so beautiful it hurts.
Guided Backcountry adventures:
Not cross country skiing, the emphasis is on climbing remote lines to ski them. Some tours feature steep terrain, others more moderate. Pick your level of challenge.
In all events, All Mountain Professionals promises you never more than six skiers per coach!
Get inspired! we'll give you the skills and the confidence to ski as you never have before.
